As much as I adore the grand canals in Venice, I am most intrigued by the smaller, more intimate water ways that wind their way through the city and the small footbridges that help pedestrians get from place to place. This little motor boat was as typical to the Venetian neighborhood where I stayed and offered a more (economical transport) to the working people who made the city run. I enjoyed painting this sweet little craft and the reflections on the bridge and water.
